Alan Clement was born in Kentucky and raised in Pittsburg, KS. He went to the University of Kansas for undergrad, then moved to the KU School of Medicine and obtained his MD in 2009. Prior to graduating from medical school he decided that kids are way more fun than grownups, so he decided to specialize in Pediatrics. He completed residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in 2012 and joined Heartland Primary Care later that year. Dr. Clement is a Pediatrician at both the KCK and Lenexa West locations.
Dr. Clement currently lives in Shawnee, KS with his wife and five children: Emma, Avery, Asher, and twins Kate and Parker. He enjoys spending time with his family, helping coach his son’s soccer team, reading, listening to music, and rooting on his beloved Jayhawks. His professional interests include breastfeeding support, Down Syndrome, and evidence-based medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
