Dr. Ely has a keen interest in women’s health, overweight/obesity problems, and preventive care. She also greatly enjoys management of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol like all internists. Dr. Ely has practiced internal medicine since graduating from New York Medical College in 1997. She trained at Brown University for residency, Boston University for general medicine fellowship, and was an assistant professor at KU Medical School from 2003 through 2009. Dr. Andrea Ely is an Internal Medical physician at the Lenexa East location. She is married to Tim, a critical care nurse, and they are in love with their twins, Meg and Jay, born in 2009. She enjoys running, traveling, and reading all types of books, especially autobiographies.
