Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine 1976. Dr. Postma went to the University of Denver for undergraduate education and then on to the University of Arkansas School of Medicine for his M.D., conferred in 1973. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and began practice as a general internist in 1976. He has previously served in several academic appointments. He has served as one of the board of directors of the Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society and is a past president of the Kansas City Internal Medicine Society. He and his wife Kay have three children. Dr. Postma is on active staff at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. He works at the urgent care in Roeland Park with a specialty of Internal Medicine as well as keeps regular hours during the day for primary care.
