Firmin E. Snodell,
M.D.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine 1978. Dr. Snodell went to Medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, then served an internal medicine residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He received one additional year of specialization in cardiology from the University of Kansas Medical Center, then began medical practice in 1965. He is a dedicated runner. He is on active staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He is known as "Dr. Firmin" and works at our urgent care in Mission, as well as keeping regular hours during the day for primary care.
Thomas M. Snodell,
M.D.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine 1994, recertified 2004. Dr. Tom Snodell earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, and then another B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas in 1983. He attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, then went on to an internal medicine residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma. He began private practice in 1993. Like his father, he is an avid runner. Dr. Snodell is on active staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He is known as "Dr. Tom" and works at our urgent care in Mission as well as keeping regular hours during the day for primary care.
Yvette Guislain Crabtree, M.D.,
FACP
Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine 1996. Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Crabtree earned a BA in Biology and French at Kansas State, then attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, graduating with her M.D. in 1993. She trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Nashville, where she was also Chief Medical resident, and then moved back to Kansas City to start practicing medicine in her hometown in 1997. She holds board certification in Internal Medicine, and holds the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education with Commendation for Self-Directed Learning. Dr. Crabtree is on active staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Interests include: parenting, scrapbooking, yoga, & gardening. She works at the urgent in Mission as well as keeps regular hours during the day for primary care.
George S. Postma, M.D.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine 1976. Dr. Postma went to the University of Denver for undergraduate education and then on to the University of Arkansas School of Medicine for his M.D., conferred in 1973. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and began practice as a general internist in 1976. He has previously served in several academic appointments. He has served as one of the board of directors of the Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society and is a past president of the Kansas City Internal Medicine Society. He and his wife Kay have three children. Dr. Postma is on active staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He works at the urgent care in Mission as well as keeps regular hours during the day for primary care.
Paul H. Kurth, M.D.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kurth earned his B.A. from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and went on the earn his M.D. from Wayne State Universiy School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan in 1977. He is currently active at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, serving as Director of Medical Education since 1992. Dr. Kurth is on active staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He works for our urgent care as well as keeps regular office hours for ongoing primary care patients. He also is the staff physician for Proctor and Gamble employees in Kansas City, KS.
Kathleen Stegemen,
ARNP
Kathy Stegeman, Adult Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, first came to Sunflower Medical group as a staff nurse, then earned her ARNP and now works as one of our two nurse practitioners working in the mission office. She attended Webster University for her BS in nursing and then trained at the university of Kansas School of Nursing for her Masters and ARNP.
Connie Piekarski, ARNP
Connie Piekarski, Adult Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, attended Ottawa University for her Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration. She has both a Master's degree from Webster in Management and Human Resources and earned her Master of Science in Nursing and ARNP from UMKC in 1998. She enjoys gardening, running, and food and wine.

John Oxler, M.D.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 1976. Dr. Oxler earned his BS from Rockhust College and went to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He trained in internal medicine at the San DIego Naval Hospital in California. He has served as President of the Medical Staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and remains on active staff there. He is a member of the Kansas Medical Society, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians. He is an avid golfer.
Louise Kaine, D.O.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Kaine obtained her BA from the University of Kansas, and her DO from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City in 1992. She trained in internal medicine at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and the University of Kansas. She entered practice in 1996. She is an Alumnus of Pembroke Hill School and is a member of the Junior League of Kansas City, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians.
Charles W. Ragland, M.D.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 1981. Dr. Ragland is a thoroughly all-Kansas physician, having not only obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, but also obtained his MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and trained at the University of Kansas Hospital in internal medicine. He has served as a medical staff leader at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and remains on active staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Andrea Ely, MD
Dr. Ely has a keen interest in women's health, overweight/obesity problems, and preventive care. She also greatly enjoys management of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol like all internists. Dr. Ely has practiced internal medicine since graduating from New York Medical College in 1997. She trained at Brown University for residency, Boston University for general medicine fellowship, and was an assistant professor at KU Medical School from 2003 through 2009. She is married to Tim, a critical care nurse, and they are in love with their twins, Meg and Jay, born in 2009. She enjoys running, traveling, and reading all types of books, especially autobiographies.

Anna Slattery, DO
Dr. Slattery dreamed of becoming a physician since she was five years old. She first obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Journalism from the University of Central Missouri. She then chose to attend Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences 9KCUMB) to become an osteopathic physician. Dr. Slattery completed a residency at Children's Mercy Hospital and is board eligible in general pediatrics. She truly enjoys caring for children with asthma and other chronic illnesses. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Slattery is married to Travis and they enjoy working and playing outside at their home in rural Leavenworth County. She also enjoys cooking and entertaining.
