Amber has been a member of the Heartland Primary Care Pediatric team since 2008. She was born and raised in Western Kansas. She graduated with her undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2002. Amber worked as an RN at Shawnee Mission Medical Center (now AdventHealth) following undergraduate school on the Medical-Surgical and then on the Birthing Unit through 2008. She graduated with her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree in 2008 and began working at Heartland Primary Care in Pediatrics as an Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner. Amber’s professional interests include caring for well children and providing developmentally appropriate education for each age group. Amber also enjoys providing care and education for patients with asthma, allergic rhinitis and attention deficit disorders.

Aside from her love of pediatric care, Amber loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys spending time with her extended family, coaching and watching her daughters’ sports, live music and attending Kansas University basketball games. Her favorite colors are CRIMSON and BLUE!
