Dr. Wilson joined Sunflower Medical Group January 1, 2013 as a Gynecology Specialist after practicing with Women’s Clinic Associates for 10 years.
Board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Wilson attended Rockhurst University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1995. She went on to attend Creighton University, School of Medicine, earning her medical degree in 1999. Dr. Wilson completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City at Truman Medical Center and St. Lukes Hospital in 2003.
Dr. Wilson came to Women’s Clinic Associates from residency in 2003. She is actively affiliated with Providence Medical Center and Heart of America Surgery Center.
Dr. Wilson maintains membership in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Kansas City Gynecological Society. She served as Chair of the Ob/Gyn Department at Providence Medical Center in 2010 and 2011.
Dr. Wilson is trained in all areas of women’s health care and is very excited to be able to offer in-office procedures that are minimally invasive and are more convenient for her patients, such as Novasure endometrial ablations. She also treats urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. She is currently seeing patients at the Kansas City, KS location.
Dr. Wilson provides comprehensive gynecologic services including: office management of abnormal paps, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, infertility, heavy periods and abnormal vaginal bleeding. She also offers in-office evaluation and treatment of incontinence and in-office bladder testing (urodynamics) as well as bladder botox. She is trained in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery which she uses to manage fibroids, endometriosis, and chronic pelvic pain, and she was one of the first doctors in the area to offer in-office hysteroscopy and ablation for out-patient treatment of heavy periods.
