Dr. Gatz enjoys practicing all aspects of Family Medicine at our Lenexa East location. Whether through well child checks or managing complex medical issues of older patients, his focus is always in preventative medicine and health maintenance. His areas of particular interest include sports medicine, geriatrics and healthcare for people with special needs. He also enjoys performing many office procedures, including skin biopsies, joint injections, and cryotherapy.
Dr. Gatz was born and raised in Newton, KS. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Biochemistry, then later completed medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City in 2009. He finished Family Medicine residency training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2012. He spent the first four years of his career practicing in his hometown of Newton.
Dr. Gatz is married to his wife Angela, who is a pediatrician. They have three wonderful children who keep them busy outside of work. He enjoys watching KU basketball and Royals baseball. He also has a love for music, both listening and playing.
