Dr. Sears is board certified in Family Medicine and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics. He offers comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.
He studied medicine at Oklahoma State University for Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine and trained at the UMKC Community and Family Medicine Residency, where he also completed a Fellowship program in Geriatric Medicine. He has worked in a family medical clinic, nursing, assisted and independent living facilities as well as hospital based palliative medicine prior to coming to Sunflower Medical Group. Dr. Sears has special interest in medication de-escalation, palliative care, movement disorders, and dermatology. He is a volunteer for a local charitable healthcare group and a fervent supporter of his University’s athletics. He and his family along with their many pets live in Lee’s Summit, MO.
