At Sunflower Medical Group, we know that it can be difficult to eat right and take care of yourself when you have emotional, mental, financial, or transportation concerns. That is why we have Kansas City counseling and support services for you in-house! We employ a team of KC psychologists, a full-time dietician and a social worker to help support you and help you find the help you need to better care for yourself. We encourage our patients to be open and discuss their mental health and emotional health with their physicians.
We do not charge for dietician or social work services for our patients. We also schedule regular (and free) group diabetes support groups led by the dietician and psychologist monthly. Lastly, we have partnered with Kansas City Hospice to help us facilitate advance care planning classes to help our community plan for end-of-life issues. These classes include a free workbook, living will forms, and we will furnish a notary. Please call for an appointment or to find out more about these classes as locations vary.
