Our practice focuses on prevention, detection, and treatment of common medical problems. Services include primary care, laboratory tests, x-rays, EKG’s, ultrasounds, vascular screens & bone density tests. We have four urgent care locations (Roeland Park, KCK, Lenexa West/Prairie Star, and Lenexa East locations). We are now able to offer OB & Prenatal Care Services with our new Family Medicine physicians that are specially trained in Obstetrics. In addition to providing full spectrum primary care services, Dr. Jane Brunner, Dr. Ashley Kimmel and Dr. Jessica Richter are welcoming new obstetric patients at our Lenexa West office and are able to provide care throughout pregnancy & delivery as well as care for newborns. We are hosting a mobile food pantry from Harvesters on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Kansas City, Kansas location! Patients, as well as members of the Greater Kansas City area that are in need of food, can visit Heartland Primary Care at 2040 Hutton Rd, Kansas City, Kansas, on the fourth Saturday of each month where they can receive food, at no cost and no proof of need. Harvesters will be bringing a mobile food pantry for mobile food distribution to the parking lot outside the clinic. Arrival time of the truck is variable, between 9:30 am to 12 noon, and food is distributed until it runs out. Distributions may be rescheduled or canceled due to inclement weather. The initiative is a new collaboration between Sunflower Medical Group, and Harvesters. It will help fight food insecurity in the area and the community will find it easy to access the new services. In fact, to receive food, people will not have to show proof of residency, income or need. We know sometimes it’s hard to eat right while trying to manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, especially when it’s difficult to afford your medications. We are here to help our community with this outreach, because health is much more than what happens inside the medical office.

All locations have regular office hours for routine appointments, and every clinician has same day appointment slots for urgent needs. If you cannot get into your primary care physician because they are already full or out of the office, you may see any other available clinician. All of our four locations have urgent care located on site, and these are walk-in visits, no appointment needed.

By staying in our practice for your urgent care needs, you ensure your records will be available to the urgent care provider as well as to your primary care provider if you need follow-up care. All offices are linked and use the same health record. If you need medical advice after hours, you may either call the community nurse advice line or call the main office line for your primary care provider’s office, and the answering service will connect you to a physician on-call. A physician is always available for this emergency phone advice when the office is closed. If the advice needed is non-urgent, you may also log in to the portal and send us a message electronically at any time, 24/7.
