COVID-19

The top priority at Sunflower Medical Group is the safety and well-being of our patients.  Regardless of the environment, this is our top priority every day. We also recognize and understand that you all have concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19); therefore, we want to update you on everything we’re doing to provide a safe environment for you, your family, and our staff.

First, we are closely monitoring the latest developments and following the guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). This is rapidly evolving.  For the latest information about COVID-19, please read the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control, or the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) website.  The KDHE public information hotline is  1-866-534-3463. The Missouri Department of Health also has a 24 hr. hotline at 877-435-8411.

Second, we are taking several actions to help you feel confident about your health and safety while you are in our facilities. We have surgical masks available at all locations, and we ask anyone that has a cough to wear one the entire time they are in our facility.  We have placed dozens of alcohol-based hand sanitizers throughout all areas of our offices. Finally, we are frequently cleaning and disinfecting all lobby surfaces, including doorknobs and countertops, restrooms, lab, and radiology areas. We disinfect all exam room surfaces in between each patient.

In addition to these actions, all internal medicine doctors and our full staff practice good hygiene with frequent and rigorous hand washing and frequent use of hand sanitizer. We are asking employees who are sick to stay home. If anyone has a fever or becomes sick while at work, we will immediately send them home.

Remember that you can send messages and questions to us through the Follow My Health patient portal.  If you have not signed up yet, now is a good time to get that account activated!

We hope that these measures give you confidence that we at Sunflower Medical Group are taking the necessary precautions in this evolving situation. We remain committed to providing you and your family with a clean and safe healthcare experience.
