With the advent of technology, telehealth bridges the gap between patient and provider, allowing for improved communication and greater access to health services. In addition to providing timely and convenient healthcare, telehealth also reduces costs associated with traditional in-person visits, and we pass the savings on to you. Our practice includes telehealth visits from our Kansas City, Roeland Park, Lenexa East, and Lenexa West offices to ensure our patients continue to have their healthcare needs met during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
Telehealth visits allow for real-time, 2-way audiovisual communication between the doctor and patient, similar to FaceTime or Skype but on a secure encrypted, HIPAA compliant online platform. We are using an online telehealth platform called doxy.me for these virtual visits.

How Kansas Telehealth Visits Work
Your insurance gets billed as a telehealth visit. Most insurance companies cover this cost as a typical office visit. All standard copays and fees associated with your insurance company apply. If you have new insurance card information, please let the receptionist know when you book the telehealth appointment.
At the time of your appointment, you will receive either a text message or email with a link to your provider’s doxy.me telehealth account. Then you will be able to log into the provider’s “waiting room”. We also have a link below where you can select your provider’s online “waiting room” connection from a drop-down list but you must schedule an appointment prior to visiting the site.

Once you are logged in, please wait for us to log in as well. We should login with you at your scheduled appointment or shortly after, but may still be with another patient when you first log in, much like in the office. Don’t disconnect – stay logged in – we can see you are there on our end! The benefit to you is that you can work on things at home near your computer while you wait.
