Melanie Wade was born and raised in Shawnee, Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas in 2008. She worked as a registered nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital primarily in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2014. Melanie is board certified in Pediatric Primary Care. She joined Heartland Primary Care in Kansas City, Kansas after graduation where she enjoys caring for children of all ages. Her professional interests include preventive well care of the infant, toddler and adolescent and acute illness and injuries. She care for pediatric patients at both Kansas City and Lenexa West Offices. Melanie loves spending time with her husband and two active daughters. She is busy with volunteering with girl scouts and coaching soccer, running with her dog and cheering in the Caldron at Sporting KC home matches.
