Dr. Hanna Issawi enjoys practicing Family Medicine and sees patients from age 6 year old on up to adults and geriatric patients, and especially enjoys women’s and children’s health. Her practice focuses on prevention, detection and treatment of common medical problems as well as well-child checkups, routine physicals, well-woman exams and routine immunizations.
Dr. Issawi is originally from Damascus, Syria where she graduated from medical school at the University of Damascus, Syria in 1991 and completed a residency in Anesthesia at Damascus Hospital in 1993. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2011. She previously practiced family medicine from 2011-2013 with Family Practice Associates in Shawnee, KS and was a registered respiratory therapist at Shawnee Mission Medical Center (now AdventHealth Shawnee Mission) from 1996-2008.
Dr. Hanna Issawi at our Lenexa East Location is now seeing patients and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians and the Kansas Medical Society. She is fluent in English and Arabic.
